Dr Louise Olsen-Kettle

Dr Louise Olsen-Kettle’s research focuses on computational modelling in the Geosciences, and she specializes in large scale numerical simulations of nonlinear partial differential equations. Her major research areas include modelling earthquake dynamics, granular flows, and hydraulic fracturing in coal seam gas operations. Her research provides new understanding in forecasting risk and damage in these industries. In 2014 Louise was awarded an ARC Discovery Early Career Research award to quantify the risk of groundwater contamination from hydraulic fracturing in coal seam gas operations in Australia.
